The Best Kept Secret

A few pictures from the final iteration of the ‘in-situ representation of a gallery’ by The Lavender Hinge within The Lavender Hinge Showroom @ The Belesario. This delightful rotating exhibition as love letter was affectionately conserved, protracted, and fitted over a two-year period. It appeared to be the best-kept cultural secret in Buffalo, NY. It was a resonant jewel of a collection from our alliance, and I was blessed and honored to have had the opportunity to work with the most talented, provocative and beautiful Swan. I will love & miss her always. The torch carried burns ever so brightly.–The Horse

The Lavender Hinge Showroom however, lives on.............
The next installation will be by artist Eric Magnuson, co-founder of The Lavender Hinge.

Total Solar Eclipse, New Moon, Super Moon - Time to Plant New Seeds.......

Lisa Z. Morgan aka The Swan is leaving The Lavender Hinge, co-founded with Eric Magnuson aka The Horse, to focus on other artistic endeavors. The Total Solar Eclipse, New Moon, Super Moon on March the 8th presents a time of new beginnings and the opportunity to plant new seeds.

A Hinge is a mechanical device created with the purpose of 'the bringing together of two solid objects.' It is symmetrical, perfectly balanced and equal. The form itself almost appears as a man-made butterfly. To attempt to add alternative components or replace the fundamentals takes away from its stability and the beauty found in totality. To Hinge, as a verb, is a seamless and harmonious motion and it is through the act of Hinging, that wonderful and striking works have been created while remarkable and challenging experiences have been lived. Love, life and work continuously evolve and are forever changed.

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” Jung
